Talisman 2008 Gunsalus Vineyard Pinot noir Russian River Valley
91.2 points (Cellartracker)
Now a rare wine soon to be gone forever - We have just a few bottles left. We believe it's one of the best Pinots ever and it has aged beautifully. This one is for the history books.
Tasting Notes The 2008 Gunsalus Vineyard Pinot noir is an excellent example of the vibrant, lush delicious wines that emanate from this vineyard.
The aroma of Bing cherries is married with sandalwood and spice…mmmmm. The flavor is a combination of blackberry and cherry that is complimented with a rich, fleshy, mouth-coating texture and a persistent finish. This wine is full of luscious leather and old world French-hotel personality.
4 Barrel aging: 20 months, 75% new French oak
We have spotted this wine in NY Steakhouses for as much as $200 a bottle.
